Our Story

Founded in 2018 by Sarah Mitchell, a former tea sommelier from London, our Wellington studio began as a small passion project. After years of working in prestigious tea houses across Europe and Asia, Sarah moved to New Zealand with a dream: to create a space where the ancient art of tea meets contemporary New Zealand culture.

What started as weekend tea tastings in her apartment has grown into Wellington's premier destination for tea enthusiasts. Our studio has been featured in "Wellington Living" magazine and was awarded "Best New Business" by the Wellington Chamber of Commerce in 2019.

Today, we source directly from 15 small-scale tea gardens across Asia, work with local ceramic artists, and have served over 5,000 customers in our cozy Te Aro location.
